In 2017, I embarked on my biggest personal side project to date. I started a platform called ‘This Way Up,’ now known as ‘Get Sh*t Done,’ where I initially featured leading women in the advertising industry and asked them to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of their careers.

I started this platform because, early in my career as a young creative, I struggled to find female role models to look up to. According to Creative Equals, women make up only 29% of creative departments, and in London, just 12% of Creative Directors are female.

As I progressed in the industry, I finally got exposure to some amazing senior women and found that they all had powerful stories to tell—stories of struggle, empowerment, and finding their voice. This inspired me to capture these stories in the form of a podcast and event platform so that people could be inspired and learn from their incredible career journeys.

Today, I am immensely proud of how far Get Sh*t Done has come. Named one of the top 30 Events in London by The Dots and with our podcast ranked No.5 on iTunes.

The platform continues to grow with the same ambition, providing inspiration for everyone, everywhere to feel empowered by these stories and, more importantly, to Get Sh*t Done.
